NATCHEZ — Stribling Equipment is partnering with Empire Trucks to expand their Natchez facility.

Monday, Natchez Inc. officials announced the new 36,000 square foot facility on U.S. 61 North would include sales, parts and service for John Deere, Hitachi and Sakai as well as Freightliner and Western Star trucks in addition to bringing 22 additional jobs to the area.

“First and foremost, we want to thank Stribling and Empire Truck for the continued and substantial investment in our region,” said Chandler Russ, executive director of Natchez, Inc. “The additional jobs, growth and investment by management is a testament to the future of our economy.  Thank you for continuing to invest in our region.”

Stribling began planting roots in Adams County in the 1950s when the company worked with construction and farming sectors, officials said. In 1983, Stribling Equipment purchased their first Natchez facility, making it one of the oldest operating stores in the Stribling franchise.

“Stribling and Empire are excited to provide our customers with the best buying experience for their equipment and truck needs,” said Reagan White, Territory manager for Stribling Equipment. “This new site will be a state-of-the-art facility and it will have all the modern amenities for our customers and staff.  We are proud to make this large investment in Natchez and show our customers we appreciate their business.”

With locations in Mississippi, Arkansas and West Tennessee, Stribling officials said their new facility would be the first in the region to feature a climate controlled mechanic shop area that allows for more comfortable work conditions for their employees.
