NATCHEZ– Services for Linda Mary King Cross, 73, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, in Natchez, will be 1:30 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cross was born Oct. 17, 1946, in Yazoo City, the daughter of Elmer King and Lena Pearl Thrasher King.
She worked for Natchez Regional Hospital for 40 years until she retired.  She was known as “Speedy” by her co-workers. She was a Baptist.  She was very kind hearted and loved her family.
Mrs. Cross was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Cross; and one brother, Douglas King.
Survivors include two daughters, Dannette Berryhill and Leona Cross Newman and husband, Chris, all of Natchez; one grandson, Aaron Newman; three sisters, Carrie Guillory, Barbara Freeman, and husband, Billy, and Marie Volking and husband, Johnny; two brothers, Billy King and Walter King and wife, Debbie; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Newman, Austin Blanton, Andy Guillory, Don King, Eric Collins and Lester King.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Newman, Johnny Volking, Walter King and Billy King.
