Carrie Pecanty

EVA, Louisiana — Services for Carrie Pecanty, 83, of Monterey, who died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019, in Vidalia, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Eva Church of God with the Rev. Lloyd Trisler officiating.

Burial will follow at Tooley Family Cemetery in Eva, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Pecanty was born Dec. 25, 1935, in Catahoula Parish, the daughter of John Howard Ivey and Mildred Trisler Ivey.

She was a member of Jonesville Church of God.

Mrs. Pecanty was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Pecanty; her parents; three brothers, Bud Ivey, Johnny Ivey and Vern Ray Ivey; and two sisters, Nellie Herron and Betty Wiley.

Survivors include one son, James Pecanty Sr. and wife, Cathy Dupuis Pecanty; one grandson, James Howard Pecanty Jr.; one granddaughter, Lindsey Marie Pecanty, all of Monterey; one great-granddaughter, Lynndasia Meagan White: one brother, Joseph Ivey; and one sister, Shirley Ivey.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
