NATCHEZ — Services for Fredia Jean McDonald Myles, affectionately known as “Freddie Jean,” of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, in Natchez, will be 5 p.m. today at George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel at West Gate Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilsonni Johnson officiating.

Ms. Myles was born Nov. 21, 1960, in Natchez, the daughter of Robert Lee McDonald and Lillie Mae Minor McDonald.

She was a 1978 graduate of North Natchez Adams High School, where she was a member of the Ravishing Ramselles.

Fredia was a Baptist and was baptized by the Rev. Walter Logan.  She enjoyed cooking, playing spades and eating crab legs.  Her favorite football teams were the San Francisco 49ers and the Miami Dolphins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Aaron McDonald Lee McDonald; two sisters, Lillie “Ree Baby” McDonald and JoAnn McDonald; grandparents, Lawrence and Susan Minor, Mandy Rose and Fred McDonald.

Survivors include one son, Reginald Myles; one grandson, Jase Myles; three sisters, Eartha Norman and husband, James, Betty Vantree and husband, Ezell, and Alma Duck and husband, Larry;  five uncles, Ike Minor and wife, Cora, Prentiss and Dave Minor, William Bruce and wife, Georgia Mae, and Roosevelt Bruce and wife, Mae;  four aunts, Odesia Minor and husband, Samuel, Willie Mae Davis, Carrie Minor and  Mandy Noble; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Online condolences may be sent to the family at westgatefh.com.
