Joseph “Nathan” Gallender

GULFPORT — A graveside service for Joseph “Nathan” Gallender, 35, of Gulfport, who died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.

Arrangements are under the direction of Riemann Family Funeral Home.

Nathan attended Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez and graduated from St. John High School in Gulfport.  He graduated from USM with a degree in business and later from MGCCC with a degree in Radiation Technology.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nathan E. Gallender Jr. and Billie E. Gallender; O.S. “Dun” Dunaway and Alice Finley Dunaway.

He is survived by his wife, Amberly Gallender; one daughter, Emma Jane Gallender; his parents, Kenneth Joe Gallender and Betty Gail Gallender; one sister, Shelly Gallender Lowry and husband, Dr. Benjamin Lowry; one nephew, B.C. Lowry; one niece, Lucy Arlin Lowry; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
