JONESVILLE — Memorial services for Dwight Darcy Edwards, 70, of Larto, who died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, in Larto, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mayna Church of God with Bro. Lloyd Trisler and Bro. Kenny Smith officiating. Internment will follow at Ford Family cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at the church.

Edwards was born on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 1949 in Catahoula Parish, was a resident of Larto Lake and a member of Mayna Church of God.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence D. Edwards Sr. and Lola White Edwards, and his sister, Gloria Jeannette Sanders.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Ford Edwards of Larto; two sons, Aaron Dwight Edwards and his wife Kayla of Pineville, and Charles Lawrence Edwards of Shreveport; one daughter, Yvie Fry and her husband Trevor of Prospect; three brothers, L.D. Edwards and his wife Touzette of Larto, Lawrence Edwards Jr. and his wife Joann of Jonesville, and Mickey L. Edwards and his wife Robin of Enterprise; and one sister, Patricia A. LaPrairie and her husband Nelson of Jonesville.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Aaron Dwight Edwards Jr., Charles Joseph Edwards, Zoe Lynn Edwards, Rowan Elizabeth Edwards, Adam Scott Fry, Luke Selby Fry and Jack Holden Fry.
