Natchez– Services for Ruth Marie “Darling” White, 82, who died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020 at her residence will be noon Friday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 265 Old Washington Rd. with the Pastor Kenneth Stanton, officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Marshall Funeral Home and 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. White was born June 7, 1937, in Union Church, the daughter S. A. and Annie Mae Sardin.

After retiring from Kentucky Fried Chicken, she returned to her prior occupation of being a caregiver.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack White, Sr.; son, Roosevelt White; two brothers, A. T. Sardin and Hugh Sardin; four sisters, Beatrice Sardin, Essie Mae Riggs, Ruby Holiday and Lucille Booker.

Survivors include four children, Gloria Washington and husband, Vincent, Jack White Jr., Alice Morrison and husband, David all of Natchez and Edward White and wife, Charlotte of Los Angeles, CA; four sisters, Joan Sardin of Chicago, Ill.; Annie Ruth Grayson, Hazel Sardin and Bernice Sardin of Detroit, MI; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a dear friend and confidant Beatrice Lewis, her son’s loving companion, Molly Long; a host of relatives and friends.
