Fayette — Funeral services for Catherine Pearl Young, 58, of Fayette, who died on Saturday, February 8, 2020 in Vicksburg, MS will be on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 4 p.m. at Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ in Fayette with Elder Douglas Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home-Fayette Branch.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until time of the service at the church.

Catherine was born Feb. 7, 1962, in Adams County, the daughter of Tom Owen and Ella Wee Gibson.  She was a member of the Mount Zion Church of God in Christ in Fayette.  Catherine worked briefly in the healthcare field and later was the caregiver of her family.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Marcus Young of Fayette; goddaughter, Tyteyunna Hill; three brothers, Carl Conway and John Gibson of Atlanta, GA and Terry Hill of Lancaster, TX; one sister, Rita Thomas of Houston, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
