Fayette — Funeral services for Jessie Nichols, Jr., 80, of Fayette, who died Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Merit Health Hospital in Natchez will be Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020, at 3 p.m. at Jessamine Ridge Baptist Church in Lorman with Rev. Richard Cruel officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the directions of West Gate Funeral Home.-Fayette Branch.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 5:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at the Fayette branch. Visitation will follow on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Mr. Nichols was born October 7, 1939 in Natchez, the son of Jessie Nichols, Sr. and Etta King Nichols.  He attended the Liddell School District in Fayette.  Jessie was a member of Jessamine Ridge Baptist Church.    

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Earlean Nichols, Carrie Colenburg, Loretta Humes; one brother, Felix Nichols; one nephew, Roosevelt Malone.

Survivors include brother, Summit Nichols; sisters, Theresa Malone, Rose King, Frances Smith and husband Tom, Etta Mae Nichols, Shirley Nichols-Black and husband Larry and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
