Elbertine Carter “Teenie” Wesberry

CENTREVILLE, Miss. — Services for Elbertine Carter “Teenie” Wesberry, 88, of Woodville, who passed away at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Mar. 4, at Corinth Church of Christ with Bro. John Bryant and Bro. Bernard Waites officiating. Interment will be at Carter Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 3, and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mrs. Wesberry was born on April 15, 1931, in Buffalo Community Wilkinson County, Mississippi to Jimmie and Orilla Leake Carter. She was the fifth child of ten.

She was a lifelong member of Corinth Church of Christ. She was employed at William Carter Company and the Big R. She attended Beechstand School in the Wilkinson Community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Milton Davis Wesberry; and siblings A.D. Carter, Danny Carter, Mary Matthews, Matie Reed and Lydia Leona Carter

Survivors include two sons, Milton Jr. and wife, Carolyn, Greg and wife, Jane Ann; siblings, Jimmie Carter, Orilla Lea Butler, Arilla Bea Weeks and Malva Weaver; grandchildren, Rena Barr and husband, Jamie; Jasin Wesberry and wife, Juliet; Stephanie Reed and husband, Elwyn; Scott Wesberry and wife, Sharon; Maggie Schmierer and husband, Patrick; great-grandchildren, Lauren Sturgeon, Jarid Sturgeon, Ben Barr, Carter Wesberry, Helen Claire Wesberry, Jasin Wesberry Jr., Leia Wesberry, Beckett Schmierer, Holden Schmierer, Blane Reed and wife, Megan, Colby Reed and wife, Julia, Dillon Reed and wife, Sherry, Alex Reed, Emie Reed, Maddie Reed; and great-great-grandchildren Abel Reed, Elora Reed, Lievi Reed and Jayden.

Pallbearers are Jasin Wesberry, Scott Wesberry, David Carter, Dave Carter, Colby Reed and Alex Reed. Honorary pallbearers are Shannon Weaver, Randy Curtis, Patrick Schmierer, Jamie Barr, Elwyn Reed, Carl Walker, Jimmie Vines, Dale Butler, Ronnie Matthews, Blane Reed and Dillon Reed.
