The Natchez-Adams County Emergency Operations Center released the following statement Friday evening:
Courthouse and Adams County offices
The Adams County Courthouse and other county offices will remain open during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until further notice.
To minimize foot traffic, we highly encourage you to utilize the online services that are available and call the offices to see if you can be assisted via telephone before making a personal visit. Phone numbers and online services can be obtained through the Adams County website at www.adamscountyms.net.
Homestead Exemption applications
The deadline for Homestead Exemption applications has been extended to May 1.
CODE RED alerts
We also encourage everyone to register for the CODE RED community notification system in order to stay further informed of important notices. Registration for Code Red can be accessed through out website at www.adamscountyms.net.
Precautions during COVID-19 outbreak
We are asking that all county residents stay home unless you need to leave home for essential business. But if you need to leave home, continue practicing social distancing and proper handwashing procedures.
