Wednesday update: Mississippi cases of COVID-19 top 1,000; Reported deaths increase

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 topped 1,000 Wednesday. The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 136 new cases of the virus, resulting in a total of 1,073 confirmed cases in the state. All but five counties in Mississippi have at least one reported case of COVDI-19.

The total number of deaths in the state increased by two cases to a total of 22 COVID-19 related deaths.

The number of Adams County cases increased by one to total of 11 cases. Wilkinson County saw an increase of two cases to a total of 16 cases and 2 deaths.
