Concordia Parish reports 3 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

VIDALIA — Concordia Parish emergency officials reported three new COVID-19 cases in the parish on Wednesday.
As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, the parish had a total of 38 residents test positive for the virus and two residents who have died with the disease, said Timothy Vanier, Director of the Concordia Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.
On Wednesday, the parish received reports of three new positive test results, including two black females and one Hispanic male, all of whom are in self quarantine, Vanier said.
Vanier said 31 of the 38 individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 in the parish were black and 24 of them are female. At least two of those with confirmed cases are hospitalized, Vanier said.
