NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Yvonne Barnes Green, 79, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 13, 2020, in Jackson will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Free Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Dolorosa.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Yvonne was born June 28, 1940, in Natchez, the daughter of Louis Barnes Sr. and Aurecta Barnes. She attended Johnson High School in Woodville and Natchez College and was a housekeeper. Mrs. Green was a member of Free Springs Baptist Church where she served on the Mother’s Board. Her hobbies included cooking and traveling.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nathaniel Green, Sr., three brothers, Louis Barnes Jr., Joe Louis Barnes and Henry Barnes and one sister, Fannie Bostic.

Yvonne leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Nathaniel Green Jr. and wife Lorraine, Michael Green and wife Sandra and Joseph Green and wife Debra; three daughters, Shirley Holmes and companion Lester, Diane Smith and husband William and Sherry Harden and husband Karon; spouse, Freddie Davis; three sisters, Juanita King and husband Willie, Leola Barnes and Dorothy Whitley; grandchildren, Cardell Minor, Eric Holmes, Erica Holmes, Avery Green, Mykel Green, DeAsia Green, Alexis Smith, Keraneicea Harden, K.J. Harden, Maliyah Lewis, London Harden, Kiara Johnson, Desmond Williams, Kia Davis and Jeremiah Parker and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
