NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Leona Marie Lavigne, 92, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 26, 2020, in Natchez will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Father David O’Connor officiating. Services will be under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Ms. Lavigne was born December 24, 1927, in Warren, Rhode Island, the daughter of Frederick Alfred Lavigne and Georgianna Sevigne Lavigne.
She was employed by General Dynamics for 31 years, and won many awards and certificates for excellent workmanship. She was an honest, kindhearted and generous person.
Ms. Lavigne was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Leo Lavigne, Frederick Lavigne, and George Racine; nine sisters Marie Delvina Talbot, Beatrice Potasz, Virginia Anniziato, Eva Lavigne, Cora Kirkup, Anna Bessette, Grace Jacobus, Aurora Cote, and Alice Vars, and many aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her son Larry Frederick Jackson and wife Shelia of MS; four grandsons Larry F. Jackson, Jr of LA, Kenneth Ray Jackson of LA, Brian Ratliff of MS, and Timothy Ratliff, of MS; two granddaughters Larie F. Jackson of LA and Kimberly Minton of MS; eight great grandchildren Cody Reid, Caden Reid, Corey Reid, Tiffany Jackson Smith, Devin Jackson, Tiffanie Minton Burchfield, Cole Minton and Wyatt Robertson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society or the SPEA.
