NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Walter Warren Gaylor, 98, of Natchez, who died Saturday, May 2, 2020, in Hattiesburg, will be at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery.

Burial will follow at the cemetery under the directions of West Gate Funeral Home.

Walter was born April 9, 1922, in Jefferson County, the son of Sam Gaylor and Irene Gaylor. He attended Milford School and Natchez Junior College. Mr. Gaylor was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company and International Paper Company. He was a member of Milford Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School superintendent and chairman of the deacon board. Walter also held memberships with MBPFB Society, the Masons, and LFC Society. He enjoyed gardening and watching baseball games on television.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Plumber Gaylor.

Walter leaves to cherish his memories, two sons. Albert L. Gaylor and Walter Gaylor, Jr.; daughter, Cathy Dyess; daughter-in-law, Georgiana Gaylor; brother, Lee Andrew Gaylor; sisters, Edna Watkins, Eloise Bennett and Doris Armstrong; grandchildren, Gregory Gaylor, Pebble Gaylor Anderson, Robert Cole, Deron Gaylor, Norman Dyess and Tiffany Dyess; great-grandchildrem, Abigail Anderson, Allison Anderson, Sydney Cole and Sheldyn Cole and other relatives.
