An investigation is ongoing into a double homicide in which two teenagers were shot to death as they sat in a car in a parking lot off of U.S. 61 in Adams County on May 1, Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said.

“We have interviewed probably over 20 people so far,” Patten said. “There are a lot of different stories, a lot of different information that we are running down. We are in the process of interviewing more people today (Thursday). We have not gathered enough information yet to actually make an arrest but I feel like here in the near future we will be able to be ready to make an arrest.”

Patten said anyone with information on the May 1 double homicide could call Crime Stoppers at 601-442-5000 to make an anonymous tip and possibly receive reward money.
