CRYSTAL SPRINGS — George Dennis Watts Sr., 73, of Crystal Springs, died peacefully at his home on May 19, 2020, with the care of his wife, family and Hospice Ministries, after battling cancer for an extended period of time.

He was born on Dec. 6, 1946, to the late Hood and Lillian Watts. In 2010, Mr. Watts retired from Entergy with 43 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs.

George was a husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Frankie Watts, of almost 53 years of marriage; son, George Watts, Jr. (Tania); His grandchildren Rivers, Reece, and Reed that were his pride and joy; sister, Florine “Sis” Stevenson (Ronnie) of Pineville, LA; brothers, Ronald Watts (Vickie) of Natchez, MS and Donald Watts (Sharon) of Greenbrier, AR;  brother-in-law, Richard Blount of Costa Rica; and long-time family friend, Louise Burton of Crystal Springs.  He also leaves a host of relatives and friends.

There will be a private graveside service at Old Crystal Springs Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
