OEP: Concordia Parish has 81 virus cases confirmed since March

VIDALIA — Concordia Parish officials reported one new COVID-19 case on Thursday and a total of 81 cases since March.
The patient, a 64-year-old African American Female who tested at Riverland Medical Center, is in a 14-day quarantine at her residence, said Concordia Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness Director Timothy Vanier.
Vanier said of all 81 confirmed virus cases in the parish, 33 were active cases, 42 inactive and six parish residents died with the disease.
Vanier said 66 parish residents who’ve tested positive with COVID-19 infection are African American, 13 are Caucasian and two are Hispanic.
Vanier said 50 of the Concordia Parish residents who’ve tested positive with COVID-19 infection are female and 31 are male.
