NATCHEZ — DaJuanyee LaClifton Abraontrae Harris II was born Dec. 30, 2019, in Natchez. Surrounded by family, DeJuanyee transitioned to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2020, at 4:38 p.m. at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was the only child of Asia Carradine and DeJuanyee Harris Sr.

DaJuanyee, who was fondly nicknamed “Deuce,” was the apple of his parent’s eye. He was such a happy baby who brought so much joy into his family’s lives. One couldn’t help but fall in love with his beautiful smile and his grayish-brown eyes.  At the tender age of just four months, DaJaunyee was just beginning to form his own unique personality. The life-long memories of DaJuanyee will forever be cherished in our hearts.

DaJuanyee was baptized in the name of Jesus on Sunday, May 24, 2020, by Bishop Justin L. Conner, Sr. at UMMC with his family and the PICU staff participating in this very spiritual and emotional ceremony.

DaJuanyee was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Willie Cage, Alonzo Sylvester, Phillip Wiley, Jr. and James Allen Sr.; great-grandmothers Juanita Christmas and Rose Allen; great uncle Savontay Christmas and aunt Davisha Harris.

DaJuanyee leaves to cherish his most precious memories his mother, Asia Carradine and his Father, DaJuanyee Harris Sr., of Natchez; grandparents Rhonda Conner and Bishop Justin L. Conner Sr. of Ferriday, Fredrick Carradine of Natchez, and Tunsha Harris and David Harris Sr. of Gloster; great-grandparents Ethel Dixon and Carolyn Carradine of Natchez, and Norma Pearl and Dan Arbuthnot of Lake Charles; great-great-grandmother Augustine Mingo of Gloster; aunt Desiree Conner of New Orleans; uncles David Harris Jr. (Tinitra) of Hattiesburg, Dakobe Harris of Gloster, Cameron Carradine and Justin “JJ” Conner II of Natchez, and Demetrius Conner of Ferriday; great uncles Gregory Dixon of Natchez, Willie Cage Jr. of Frisco, Texas, and LeQuan Christmas of Gloster; great aunts Rosha Carradine of Mesquite, Texas, Shirley Williams of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and Valda Cage of Houston, Texas. DeJuanyee is also admired and cherished by a host of other family members and friends.

DaJuanyee’s spirit will live on in the many lives he has already touched through organ donation. He gave in death just as he gave us all so much joy in life.
