In celebration of Juneteenth, the oldest holiday commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States, we ask that the Natchez community and surrounding cities come together for the South Mississippi Unity March on Saturday, June 20.

Communities across the country have been in a state of unrest for the past few weeks and months, and we encourage the citizens of the metropolitan area to take a firm step toward healing and reconciliation with this Unity March.

This year, we are celebrating the 155th Anniversary of Juneteenth, and we would love to have your support as we organize a weekend of events. To ensure that this celebration is successful, we are requesting monetary donations, as well as contributions such as masks, water and hand sanitizer.
