NATCHEZ — Graveside Services for Mr. Lawrence K. “Sonny” Jenkins, 76, Natchez, MS who died on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Merit Health Natchez was held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 3PM at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Jenkins was born July 31, 1943 to the late Inez Ware Jenkins, and Fred griffin.  He was employed with Jim Jones Lumber Company as a Machine Operator for 33 years until his Retirement.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Betty Jenkins and Osta Lee Griffin, two brothers; Richard Jenkins Jr., and Albert “Mancy” Jenkins.

He leaves to cherish his memories; a devoted wife of 42 years, Audrey Jenkins; four children; Jennifer Jenkins, Gwen (Corey) McCraney of Atlanta GA. and Gene (Kathryn) Green of Atlanta, GA and Lynda Green of Baton Rouge, LA; two sisters; Mary (Earl) Johnson of Natchez, MS and Leola Ross of Philadelphia, PA; one brother, Freddie (Minnie) Beverly of Arlington, TX; seven grandchildren; Ka’Deem Conner, Essence Conner, Jamal Green, Jordan Green, Jacobe’ McCraney, Demetricus McCraney and Anthony Dean; one sister-in-law, Mancy May Taylor; 9 great-grandchildren. He is “Uncle Sonny” to a host of nieces and nephews.
