FERRIDAY — Services for Doretha “Mae” Jefferson-Matthews, 58, of Ferriday, LA, who passed peacefully, July 7, 2020, at her residence with her family by her side will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Minor officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Mrs. Matthews was born, March 14, 1962, Pineville, LA, the daughter of John, Sr. and Louise Brady Jefferson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Isaac Jefferson, John Jefferson Jr.

“Mae” leaves to cherish her memory and cheerful heart to son Brian Robinson, his wife Kelly, Lake Charles, LA; one daughter, Connie Jefferson; three brothers, Connie Jefferson, his wife Patricia, Abe Jefferson, all of Ferriday, LA, Eddie Jefferson, his wife Paulette, of New Orleans, LA; three sisters, Mary Jefferson, Johnny Lee Hudnall, both of Vidalia, LA, Margaret Hall, Ferriday, LA; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one aunt, Cecilia Jones; one uncle, John Brady, Jr., both Oakland, CA; a special friend, Freddie Nellon, Ferriday, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
