NATCHEZ — The Natchez Police Department is investigating a Tuesday night shooting in the area of N. Union Street which injured a man.

Police Chief Joseph Daughtry confirmed Wednesday morning that a man who was apparently homeless had been shot in the leg on Tuesday night.

Daughtry said the incident remains under investigation.
