FAYETTE – Services for Elton Kedrick “E.T.” Tenner, 44, of Moss Point, MS formerly of Tennerville, who died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2023, at his residence in Moss Point, MS, will be held Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Jefferson County High School Auditorium in Fayette, MS with Bro. C. Butler officiating under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Tenner Family Cemetery in Tennerville, MS.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, from 10 until 11 a.m. at the High School.

Mr. Tenner was born Aug. 6, 1979, in Natchez, MS, the son of Grover and Norma A. Tenner, Jr. of

Tennerville, MS.

Mr. Tenner graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1997. He received his welding certification from Letourneau in Vicksburg, MS. He continued his career at Huntington Ingalls in Pascagoula, MS as a shipfitter, burner and welder for many years until his health failed.

He was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He had a great love for the outdoors as a hunter and fisherman. He was also an all-around handyman.

Elton leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Dessie Lee Smith-Tenner of Moss Point, MS; daughter, Destiney DeShay Tenner of Moss Point, MS; son, DeVante Ranshawn Martin, Sr. of Moss Point, MS; grandchildren, Devante Ranshawn Martin, Jr. and Lalah Rae Martin both of Moss Point, MS; father and mother, Grover and Norma A. Tenner, Jr. of Tennerville, MS; brother and best friend, Kendrick Tenner, Sr. of Tennerville, MS; father-in-law, Guy Sampson of Fayette, MS; mother-in-law, Devra Ann Smith of Fayette, MS; brothers-in-law, Richard Smith, Jontez Smith, Stephen Hunter, and Greg Hunter; sisters-in-law, Jennie Hunter and Keidre Sampson; and a host of senior citizen friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
