VIDALIA – Services for Margaret Yvonne Roberson, 86, of Vidalia who passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023. With the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. until the service on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Born February 19, 1937, in Bastrop, La. to Vera and Ed Franklin, Yvonne was a strong fiery personality with the red hair to match. She was Vidalia High School’s first homecoming queen, and after high school spent 32 years working for the telephone company. Yvonne was an amazing sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that affected so many.

Yvonne is survived by her loving husband, James Cyprian Roberson, their two sons, and one daughter-in-law, James and Tina Roberson and Steve Robeson. She is also survived by four grandchildren, James Roberson, Peyton Harrison, and her husband, Jacob, Luke Roberson, and Clay Roberson. Additional surviving family members include two great-grandchildren Austin and Kendall Roberson and a brother George Franklin.

Honorary pallbearers include James Roberson, Clay Roberson, Luke Roberson, Will Yelverton, Wayne Roberson, Leigh King, and Jacob Harrison.
