Preceded in death by parents, Bill and Laura Ruth Myers; an infant sibling, and sister, Cynthia Caillouet.

A 1961 graduate of Natchez High School, Nicky remained active in organizing class reunions and maintaining connections with classmates. Following high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 1966 from The University of Southern Mississippi, fostering a lifelong love for USM and the Golden Eagles. He held season tickets for years to support the Southern Miss football team, serving as President of the Adams County Alumni Chapter at one point. He passed on this love to his family, with both children and five grandchildren attending USM.

Returning to Natchez, Nicky had a long career as a sales representative for Feltus Brothers Hardware, later Orgill Brothers. An engaged member of the Homebuilders Association of Mississippi, he served as President of the Natchez HBA in 1981, retiring from Orgill Brothers in 2008. His retirement days were spent visiting friends, providing assistance whenever needed, and enjoying time with his 1961 classmates and the John Paul Wednesday Night Brain Trust.

A faithful member of First Baptist Church, Natchez, Nicky could always be found on the back pew on Sunday mornings.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, at Laird Funeral Home. Services will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Laird’s Funeral Home under the direction of Dr. Doug Broome, followed by burial at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia, MS.

Pallbearers will include his grandsons Colin Myers, Matthew Myers, James Pounds, Logan Thames, and Sarosh Din, along with nephews Shane Wells and Brandon Wells.

Honorary pallbearers will be the surviving members of the John Paul Wednesday Night Brain Trust—Lewis Powell, Duncan McFarland, Joe Ring, Smokey Joe Franks, Kent Allgood, and Murphy Galloway—along with nephew Jared McPhate, brother-in-law Neil Brown, and long-time friends James Clary and Steve Dawson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choosing in Nicky’s memory.
