NATCHEZ — Need to dispose of your real Christmas tree?

A spokesperson for the Adams County Sanitation Department said Thursday that county residents can put the tree out with their usual garbage and the county’s garbage collector, United Infrastructure Services, will collect it for disposal.

“They might not pick it up at the beginning of the week, but they should by the end of the week,” the sanitation department spokesperson said.

Same applies for city residents, said Natchez Mayor Dan Gibson.

Arrow Disposal Services, which is contracted to collect garbage in the city, will pick up Christmas trees left curbside, as well.

“If anyone has a tree not collected is encouraged to call and report that to City Hall and it will be taken care of,” Gibson said.
