The Vikings fell to 8-9 overall after their fifth loss in a row. They next play at the Ouachita Parish Tournament which started on Wednesday and goes through Friday. Efforts to reach head coach Damus Smith to find out which teams the Vikings will be playing and on what days and times were unsuccessful.

Because of the Vidalia Vikings participating in the Ouachita Parish Tournament this week, Vidalia’s varsity home games against Delta Charter School that were scheduled for last Wednesday night have been postponed until Thursday, Jan. 25.

“They (Vidalia) told us that they would be playing in some holiday tournament. So we decided to postpone our games with them until Jan. 25,” Delta Charter head coach Patrick Davis said. “We decided to accommodate them in whatever holiday tournament they are playing in.”

Also, Vidalia’s varsity girls’ and boys’ games at Sicily Island High School that were scheduled for Friday night have been cancelled.
