Meet your 2023 All-Metro offensive team

Adams County Christian School 

Coleman Carter — A junior quarterback, Carter rushed for 1,250 yards and 13 touchdowns on 148 attempts. He threw the ball for 2,515 yards on 158 completions and 29 touchdowns. Carter is the Offensive Player of the Year. 

Adrian Walker — A junior running back, Walker rushed for 1,311 yards and 14 touchdowns on 152 attempts. He had 15 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns.

Jordan Berry — A senior receiver, Berry made 44 catches for 650 yards and eight touchdowns. He had 13 rushes for 127 yards as well. 

Kaleb Bailey — A senior offensive lineman, Bailey helped the Rebels win a state championship with his leadership on the line. He was named the Most Valuable Offensive Lineman. 

Cathedral 

Tristan Fondren — A sophomore quarterback, Fondren showed promise in 2023. He completed 113 passes for 1,441 yards and 18 touchdowns. 

Cam Tanner — A senior running back, Tanner was the workhorse for the Green Wave on the ground. He rushed for 703 yards on 129 carries and 10 rushing touchdowns. He had 102 receiving yards on 10 catches and a touchdown. 

Justin Hawkins — A senior wide receiver, Hawkins was one of Fondren’s top targets in 2023. He will be missed next season. 

Bennett Gilly — A senior offensive lineman, Gilly was named to the Cathedral leadership council for the 2023 season. 

Delta Charter

Juvari Singleton — A senior quarterback, Juvari was named to 1st Team Offense by LHSAA 4-1A coaches. He was also named the overall district MVP. 

Tyrin Singleton — A junior wide receiver, Tyrin was named to the 1st Team Offense by LHSAA 4-1A coaches. He was a spark plug for the Storm. 

Otis Bates Jr. — A senior running back, Bates was named to the 1st Team Offense by LHSAA 4-1A coaches. He battled through injuries and gave everything for his team. 

Jalen Ivy — A junior offensive lineman, Ivy was named to the 1st team Offense by his peers in LHSAA 4-1A coaches. He will return next year and should be an anchor on the offensive line. 

Ferriday

Caleb Ellis — A junior quarterback, Ellis threw the ball for 1,810 yards on 99 completions and 21 touchdowns. His longest pass was 75 yards. He also rushed the ball for 235 yards and six touchdowns. 

Jerry Griffin Jr. — A junior running back, he rushed 97 times for 705 yards and eight touchdowns. He had four games with 100 or more yards in 2023. Griffin had 165 receiving yards as well. 

Desmen Jefferson, A sophomore receiver, caught 52 passes for 933 yards and seven touchdowns. 

Shaunzeric Conner — A junior offensive lineman, he was named to the LHSAA 2–2A All-District second team. 

Franklin County 

Va’Quez Rancifer — A senior quarterback, he led the Bulldogs and will be missed next season. 

Keyundre Fulton — A senior running back, Fulton was a menace to defenses in 2023. His production and leadership will be missed. .

Jefferson County 

Jabari Watson — A senior quarterback, Watson threw for 2,579 yards on 164 completions and scored 28 touchdowns en route to a south state championship appearance. Watson rushed for 703 yards and 10 touchdowns. 

J.J. Claiborne — A senior running back, Claiborne rushed for 1,002 yards on 115 carries and scored six touchdowns. He also had 50 yards receiving. 

Royale Shelvy — A junior wide receiver, Shelvy made 66 catches for 1,098 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also rushed for 404 yards and five touchdowns and had 157 passing yards and three touchdowns. 

Kyjammeone Bingham — A senior offensive lineman, Bingham played a key role at the line of scrimmage to help the Tigers reach a South State Championship.

Natchez 

Kaden Walton — A junior quarterback, Walton threw for 1,297 yards on 113 completions and eight touchdowns. He also rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns. 

Carl McDonald Jr. — A junior running back, McDonald rushed for 1,110 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also had 79 yards receiving. 

Ken Chatman — A junior wide receiver, Chatman finished the 2023 season with 50 catches for 672 yards and three touchdowns. 

Jamarii White — A junior offensive lineman, White was selected to the Region 3-5A All-District team. 

Vidalia 

Elmari Lewis — A sophomore quarterback, Lewis had 799 yards passing on 54 completions and eight touchdowns. He rushed for 429 yards and scored nine touchdowns on the ground. 

Kabari Davis — A senior tight end, Davis had 330 yards rushing on 69 carries and scored two touchdowns. He also had 60 yards receiving. 

Marc Perkins — A senior wide receiver, he had 18 catches for 360 yards and five touchdowns. 

Gage Cupstid — A senior offensive lineman, he was named to the LHSAA 2-2A All-District team offensive team. 

Wilkinson County Christian Academy

Gavin Davis — A senior wide receiver, he was a leader on the Rams. His experience will be missed next season. 

Jack Orgeron — A senior offensive lineman, his leadership at the line of scrimmage will be missed next season. 

Wilkinson County High School 

Jaquel Dukes — A senior receiver, Dukes has been a key piece to the Wildcat offense for a while. He was named to the Region 7-2A All District team. 

Zychovian VanNorman — A junior offensive lineman, was named to the Region 7-2A All-District team. He will return next year.
