WIND ADVISORY: Secure outdoor objects, exercise caution

A wind advisory remains in effect for the Miss-Lou from 3 p.m. today until 6 p.m. Tuesday, the National Weather Service warns.

NWS also warns of a slight chance of severe weather for the area this evening starting at 6 p.m.

Damaging wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour and tornadoes cannot be ruled out.

Below is from the weather alert issued today:

* WHAT…20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE…Portions of southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana
and central, east central, north central, northeast,
northwest, south central, southeast, southwest and west
central Mississippi.

* WHEN…From 3 PM Monday to 6 PM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result. Travel will be impacted, especially for high profile
pictures.
