Louisiana postpones Tuesday public meeting for Black Bear hunting season in St. Joseph

A public hearing at the LSU AgCenter in St. Joseph in Tensas Parish scheduled for Tuesday night, January 16, to receive public input for the Louisiana black bear hunting season notice of intent (NOI) has been postponed because of inclement weather, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) announced.

The meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 25, at 6 p.m.

Public hearings on Thursday, January 18, and Tuesday, January 23, will be held as scheduled.

The three meetings will be:

  • January 18, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the West Monroe Convention Center, 901 Ridge Ave., West Monroe;
  • January 23, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Black Bear Golf Course Conference Center, 253 Black Bear Dr., Delhi;
  • January 25, 2024, at 6 p.m. at 6 p.m. at the LSU Ag Center, 4531 Louisiana Highway 605 in St. Joseph.
