VIDALIA, La. — A Jonesville man has been arrested on over 200 counts of child and animal abuse pornography and for contacting a child online even after being blocked.

Palmer

Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Crime Unit opened an investigation Tuesday after receiving a complaint regarding an adult, identified as 18-year-old Christopher Palmer, transmitting lewd photographs to a 13-year-old child via social media.

Further investigation found that Palmer had been blocked by the victim prior and that he created a new account and made contact again.

After identifying him, an arrest warrant was obtained and he was taken into custody with the Catahoula Parish Sheriff’s Office. Investigators then seized and conducted a forensic analysis of Palmer’s personal cell phone and recovered two files containing child sexual abuse material and 237 files involving humans engaged in sex with animals.

Additionally, Palmer had active warrants for his arrest from an earlier incident.

Authorities said during a domestic dispute between Palmer and his dating partner, a handicapped person got in between them attempting to protect the woman from Palmer and was attacked.

Palmer now faces charges of indecent behavior with juveniles and 237 counts of sexual abuse of animals in addition to the warrants for cruelty to the infirm and battery of a dating partner.

Louisiana revised statute 14:89.3 broadly defines “sexual abuse of an animal” as filming, distributing, or possessing pornographic images of a person and an animal engaged in sexual contact among other related offenses.

CPSO states this investigation remains ongoing with additional victims likely.
