This turn-of-the century photograph of the 1856 mansion Dunleith documents its original wood-shingled roof and balustraded roof deck, now missing. Also documented in this photograph is what appears to be a two-toned paint scheme on the existing iron gates and posts of the front entrance. Also visible, but long missing, are a pair of cast-iron posts that frame the entrance gates and would have originally featured lanterns and gas lighting. (Photo courtesy Historic Natchez Foundation)
