FERRIDAY – Funeral service for La’Hope Evette Robinson, 55, of Ferriday, who departed this earthly life on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Ferriday will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday with Pastor Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

No visitation will be held.

La’Hope was born Feb. 21, 1969, in Louisiana, the daughter of Brenda F. Robinson and Albert Ray Skinner. She graduated from high school.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny Ray Skinner and Travis Robinson; uncle, Carlton Robinson, and grandfather, Clarence Robinson.

La’Hope leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Ambreon Jones of Zachary, Kenyatha Robinson of Ferriday, and Kenyatta Robinson of Zachary; parents, Brenda F. Robinson of New Orleans and Albert Ray Skinner of Galveston, TX; brother, Larry Edwards; sisters, Leevon Leonard, Ebony Skinner, Emma Skinner, and Ilana Skinner; grandchildren, Amnesti Cain, Si’Yon Bates, Ra’Leigh Jefferson, Ian Jefferson, Iryn Williams, Jer’Mori Griggs, and Benjamin Williams; special niece, Deziree Edwards; special nephew, JaLarrius Edwards; special friends, Regina Harris, Stephanie Johnson and Sandra Tarver, other relatives, and friends.
