NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Roy Bell, 87, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, in Natchez will be held Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Living Word Worship Center with Pastor Dwight Greene officiating.

Burial will follow at the First Moses Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Roy was born Jan. 8, 1937, in Cranfield, the son of Matteal Patterson Bell and Bennie Bell, Sr. He was employed with Coca-Cola, International Paper Company, Securitas, Adams County Sheriff Department, and the Natchez-Adams School District. Mr. Bell was a member of the Living Word Worship Center. Roy loved barbequing and cooking.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Bennie Bell, Jr., Frank Bell, Virginia Bell Cook, and Matteal Beamer.

Roy leaves to cherish his memories: his loving daughters, Frances D. Bell, and Nicole A. Bell; brothers, William Bell, John Bell, and Warner Bell; sister, Julia Bell; granddaughters, Faith D. Davis and Hope A. Bell; great-grandson, Josiah L. Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
