FERRIDAY — A Vidalia man suspected of shooting and killing a man in Ferriday late Friday night had been in jail just three days prior and bonded out, arrest records show.

Otis J. Frazier, 38, would receive no bond for a second-degree murder charge on Monday following the fatal shooting of death of Kaderrius Minor, 28, of Ferriday.

As for other charges, Otis Fraizer received a bond of $850,000 for attempted second-degree murder, $50,000 for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, $50,000 for illegal use of weapons and $450,000 for obstruction of justice with Seventh Judicial District Court Judge John C Reeves, Division B, presiding.

On Tuesday, March 5, three days before Ferriday police responded to the shooting in the area of Second Street between Louisiana Avenue and Mickey Gilley Avenue, Otis Frazier had been arrested on domestic abuse and simple assault charges and bonded out on a $7,500 bond.

Ferriday Police Chief Sam King said that the fatal shooting on Friday was the result of a domestic incident.

“It was an incident more or less domestic between a couple that turned violent for no reason at all,” he said. “Minor was an innocent bystander caught in this incident and that’s what makes it more sickening. He was a good guy and just got caught in the middle of a bad situation.”

Two others were arrested in this case.

Ann Lewis, 42, received a bond of $450,000 for the charge of obstruction of justice.

Frederick Frazier, 40, received no bond for principal to second-degree murder, a bond of $850,000 for principal to attempted second-degree murder, $450,000 for obstruction of justice and $50,000 for illegally supplying a felon with a firearm.

More arrests are pending, King said.

“I believe others were involved in one form or another and not with the shooting itself,” he said.
