FERRIDAY – Funeral services for Ka’Derrius Rayshawn Minor, 28, of Ferriday, who departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Ferriday, will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Word of Faith Ambassador Outreach Center in Ferriday.

Burial will follow at Frogmore Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Ka’Derrius was born June 30, 1995, in Ferriday, the son of Joyce Minor and Donald Ray Jefferson. He was educated in the Ferriday School system. Mr. Minor was the drummer at Kingdom Living Ministries. He was a basketball and football coach with the Ferriday Little League.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Marie Minor, Mary Jefferson, Samuel Washington, and Lige Jefferson, Jr., and sister, Quolice Whitley.

Ka’Derrius leaves to cherish his memories: his parents; sons, Ivoryun Williams, Ka’Derrius Minor, Jr., Kai’sen Minor, and Zahmir Beverly; daughter, Jahmyah Fair; brothers, Cortez Minor (Tasha) and Donald Whitley (Trenese); nieces and nephews, Imari Glasper, Jay’Vier Fair, Cortez Minor, Jr., Zi’Niya Minor, Christon Minor, Donald Whitley, Jr., Dhime and Demi Whitley, other relatives, and friends.
