Why Ballroom Dancing?

Ballroom dancing is not just about the steps; it’s a celebration of movement, connection, and joy.

It’s an exercise for the body and the soul, enhancing your social skills, boosting confidence, and strengthening the bond with your partner.

The classes, focusing on a simple and enjoyable style of swing dancing, are designed to show how effortless and fun dancing can be, regardless of experience level.

Meet The Instructor: Mike Day

Under the guidance of Michael Day, Mississippi’s most seasoned ballroom dance professional, participants will discover the ease and exhilaration of dance.

With over four decades of experience in Ballroom, Cabaret, and Theater Arts, Day is not just an instructor; he’s an artist who has dedicated his life to the dance floor.

These classes are a ticket to confidence on the dance floor, just in time for the Natchez Festival of Music’s opening night event, “Dancing on the River,” on April 27 at the Natchez City Auditorium. Attendees will dance to the tunes of the Mobile Big Band Society and celebrate the joy of movement with fellow dance lovers.
