A Patriotic Poker Run will be held April 27 in Natchez to benefit the nonprofit Home With Heroes Foundation, which helps area veterans and their loved ones.

Motorcycle riders and other vehicles will travel to various veteran and military-related venues in Adams County, including the Natchez National Cemetery.

Besides the museum and cemetery, other stops include the Veterans Memorial in downtown Natchez, Under-the-Hill, and finishing at CRs on Highland Boulevard for a party.

“We are inviting all riders – on motorcycles or in vehicles – to join us in celebrating veterans and raising money to help them,” said G. Mark LaFrancis, president of the Home With Heroes Foundation, a private non-profit based in Natchez. “Our organization has been helping veterans and their loved ones for more than ten years without asking for a dime. We raise funds through the generosity of others.”

He said the event includes door prizes, food, an auction, and prizes for the best poker hands along with souvenirs. Donations are $25 for a rider and $10 for a passenger.

“There is no advance registration; just come and join in the fun,” LaFrancis said.
