NATCHEZ — A truck that was stolen from an Adams County property over the weekend has been recovered by Dallas, Texas, police, authorities said.

Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten confirmed on Tuesday evening that Dallas police identified the truck during a traffic stop. The driver fled officers on foot, Patten said.

It was stolen from the owner George Patton’s property on MLK Jr. Road near Foster Mound and Airport Road in Adams County either late Saturday or early Sunday with a utility trailer with a zero-turn Husqvarna MZT-52 mower on it attached.
