Child pornography found on devices of man arrested after alleged stalking, strangling

FERRIDAY, La.— Child pornography was found on the electronic devices belonging to a man who was arrested Wednesday in Ferriday after he allegedly stalked and strangled his ex-dating partner.
According to a news release from Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Cyber Crime Unit began an investigation on April 9 of Alexander Eugene Morris, 25, illegally taking possession of a former dating partner’s online accounts.
Additionally, investigators learned that around a week prior, he had strangled the victim during a domestic situation and began “showing up” wherever the victim was located.
He was taken into custody after the execution of a search warrant at a Ferriday residence, at which time his electronic devices were seized.
During forensic analysis of those devices, detectives noted files stored consisting of pornography involving juveniles as well as all of the accounts belonging to the victim. Detectives also discovered that Morris had been arrested previously in Texas for domestic abuse by impeding breathing in 2021 and online solicitation of a minor in 2023.

Morris has been booked for four counts of pornography involving juveniles, stalking, felony battery of a dating partner by strangulation, identity theft and possession of methamphetamine in the Concordia Parish jail.
Anyone who is arrested is presumed innocent until they are proven guilty.
