NATCHEZ — Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten has warned people to stay clear of the Adams County port area as an ongoing investigation into a suspicious package on a barge is under way.
Heavy official presence and boats from multiple agencies are at the Adams County port.
“Stay clear of this area,” Patten said. “We are investigating a suspicious package on a barge.”
The size and contents of the package are unknown at this time.
