NATCHEZ – It is with much sadness that we announce the transition of our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin known to us as “AJ.”

Alec Robertson Jr, 38, was born on Feb. 24, 1986, to Vanessa Evans McKnight and Alec Robertson Sr. He spent most of his time attending school in Dallas, Texas.

He relocated back to Natchez, where he transitioned. AJ had a bright infectious smile that would light up a room with his laughter and jokes, he was a fun and loving soul.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Nell Evans Jackson; paternal grandparents; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. Metcalf and Arnetter Evans; aunts, Felicia Evans, Angela Robertson, and Shel Robertson; great aunts, Betty J. McDonald, Apostle Shirley Evans, and Claudia Evans; and cousins, James E. King, Christopher L. McDonald and Ursula King.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Vanessa Evans McKnight (Kenny); father, Alec Robertson Sr.; a special friend, Jasmine (James) Davis; grandfather, Ledell (Cho) Bowman, of Texas; three daughters, Jadia Rose Robertson of Houston, TX, Shanaya Williams and Alexia Williams of Minneapolis, MN; paternal siblings, Dominique Green, Aleczale Deshawn Robertson, Alexis, Johnson, and Ace King Robertson; maternal siblings, Kenny, Demetrius, Lametria, and Brandon McKnight; a host of aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at noon at New Beginning, 35 Triumph Ln., Natchez with Pastor Roderick Lewis, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery under the direction of Webb Winfield Funeral Home, Natchez.

The Visitation service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 6 until 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
