NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Horace Evans, 84, of Jackson, who departed this earthly life on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in Jackson will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 3 p.m. at West Gate Funeral Home (George F. West, Sr. Memorial Chapel).

Burial will follow at Windy Hill #1 Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 2 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Horace was born March 22, 1940, in Cranfield, MS, the son of Katie Evans. He was a retired warehouse worker and a member of Greater Mt. Mariah Baptist Church in Jackson, MS.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and siblings, Phillip Williams, Sr., Ameal Evans, and Carimeal Evans.

Horace leaves to cherish his memories: nieces and nephews, Phillip Williams, Jr., Gwendolyn Jones, Jada Thomas, Joselyn Evans, and Christopher Mazique; great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
