Her daughters appreciate your prayers for peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Sharon was born July 29, 1945, in New Orleans, the daughter of R.E. Roubaud and Tressie Roubaud Carter. She was the devoted wife to the love of her life James Ogden, Jr. who went to be with the Lord in 1987. She was the mother of two daughters who filled her life with great joy and love. She enjoyed reading, painting, travel, baseball, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, Cajun cuisine, the Smoky Mountains, genealogy research and Christian fellowship and worship.

Sharon loved the lord, had an unwavering faith in God, and considered herself non-denominational.

Her family moved to Vidalia in 1955. She attended Vidalia High School and graduated in 1964, saying that year that she “couldn’t finish school fast enough so she could marry James.” She worked in the Mississippi State Government from 1968 through 2009 when she retired. Over 31 years of that time was with the Department of Archives and History at the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians as Administrative Assistant. “I loved working at the Grand Village and considered it a great blessing.”

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; a younger brother, Randy Roubaud; sisters, Loretta Roubaud Ellis, and Mona Roubaud McMahon; sister-in-law, Marion Ogden Roma and stepfather, Luby Carter.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Denise Ogden Nelson (Edwardo Mejia, Alyssa, and Gabriel), and Elise Ogden McKinney (Brad) all of Natchez; sister, Terri Babb (Howard) of Ft. Payne, AL; cousin (like a brother), John Bingham of Pensacola; and a number of nieces and nephews.
