FERRIDAY, La. — Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crime Unit recently arrested a school janitor from Lafayette Parish for crimes against juveniles.
According to a news release, CPSO began investigating someone who contacted a person online who he thought to be a juvenile on June 17, 2024, and communicated in a sexual manner.
The suspect was later identified as Cody Allen Talley, 37, from Carencro.
Upon making contact, the Talley reportedly engaged in a lewd conversation and requested photos in return. Upon identifying him, investigators learned he was employed by the Lafayette Parish School Board.
He was taken into custody last week by the Carencro Police Department and was booked into the LPSO jail. He will be extradited to Concordia Parish on an indecent behavior with juveniles charge.
Concordia Parish Sheriff David Hedrick thanked the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Carencro Police Department for their quick assistance in the matter.
Anyone arrested is presumed innocent until they are proven guilty.
