FERRIDAY, La. — A Denham Springs man is charged by Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office with computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles after allegedly engaging illegally with someone he thought to be a minor online.
According to a release, the CPSO Cyber Crime Unit began investigating an adult subject later identified as 46-year-old Jeffrey W. Reine on June 17, when made contact with what he believed to be a minor online.
Reine reportedly engaged in a lewd conversation and requested to meet the minor while also asking the minor to send him lewd photos.
After investigators identified him, a warrant was obtained for Reine’s arrest.
He was taken into custody Wednesday by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and will be extradited to Concordia Parish for prosecution.
Concordia Parish Sheriff David Hedrick thanked Sheriff Jason Ard and LPSO for their assistance in the matter.
Anyone who is arrested is presumed innocent until they’re proven guilty.
