NATCHEZ – Funeral services for LaKetsha LeShay Skipper, 44, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Jackson will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church with Rev. Keith Berry officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

LaKetsha was born on June 16, 1980, in Adams County, the daughter of Dedria Skipper Stokes and Leon Lucas. She was a 1998 graduate of Natchez High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Utica Junior College and was an Office Manager. LaKetsha enjoyed singing, taking selfies, and playing Facebook games.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hattie Dennis, Alonzo Dennis, and Lillie Foster; and uncles, Eugene Skipper and Charles Skipper.

LaKetsha leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Dedria Stokes; father, Leon Lucas; brother, Phillip Xavier Stokes; special friend, Frank Harris; grandfather, Andrew Lucas; niece, Ka-Loni Kam-briella Bailey; uncles, Andrew Lucas, Jr. and Larry Lucas, other relatives, and friends.
