NATCHEZ — Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said “An observant deputy was able to spot a suspicious vehicle and prevent a burglary from being completed,” in recent weeks.
Three people from Vidalia, Louisiana were arrested after an attempted burglary at a closed business on Aug. 13, the sheriff said.
Jake Jones III, Ashley French and Jordan Adams, all from Vidalia, were arrested and charged with burglary.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Department received information from a business owner on Carthage Point Road about suspicious people around a closed business. Later in the day, a deputy passed a vehicle matching the description given about the suspicious vehicle.
The deputy then went back to the closed business and located the same suspicious vehicle parked behind the building with three people in the truck.
Patten said that his deputies were able to get the information out about the suspicious vehicle and persons very quickly to all surrounding agencies and the deputy spotted it within a few hours later.
